St. Mary’s Secondary School students brought the gift of music, song and dance to Mount Carmel to celebrate two hundred years of Carmelite presence in the heart of New Ross.
Over 80 students, led by Principal, Mr. Porter, and accompanied by Teachers, Ms. Tinnelly, Ms. Forde, Ms. Barr and Ms Lyng spent the afternoon performing a wonderful medley of music, song and dance.
Mother Prioress, Sr Anne and the Sisters thank most sincerely all who contributed to a great afternoon. It was a wonderful tribute from the youth of the area to the Carmelites who came to New Ross to provide education for the local poor when none was available.
A lovely interaction between the students and nuns brought the afternoon to a close.
